The Meaning of Our Logo

Whakataukī Meaning

Our Conference theme is based on this whakataukī. Meaning - may we come near, may we come close, may we unite in bringing together our experiences of past housing/living. Facing our present circumstances and forging a better future.

Earth Green - Represents whenua/land, resources that sustain the people.

Traditional Red - Represents Māoritanga, linking ancestral ways to today’s modern architectural styles.

Gold - Represents prosperity, health (physical, mental, spiritual) and sustainability.

Deep Blue - Represents wisdom handed down through the ancestors and applied to today’s generation.
